Do What You Like

The original draft of this one dates back to college, but it was edited on several occasions. It took about 25 years to complete this one, simple as it sounds.

When I listen to it now, I hear some of my influences dramtically–the Everly Brothers chord progression, the Lennon-esque time signature change and Marshall Crenshaw hitting the 6th coming out of the bridge. Like all songwriters, sometimes the earlier songs don’t mask the influences as well.

We took off “Drifting Towards Friends” this week. Thanks for listening.
